On December 8, 2011, we hosted the new Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Lyantode District. The RDC and her team visited Lyantonde Internet Center, beneficiaries of the houses ad pit latrines project and also visited farmer’s groups in villages who have received training in permaculture and sustainable agriculture. We had several meetings with communities where we work and reflected on our successes and set priorities for the new year 2012. It was a great opportunity to have communities directly involved in planning for projects they need most.
The RDC talks to one of the HIV/AIDS infected women who benefited from the house and pit latrine project.
A community meeting where ICOD staff, local leaders and community members set priorities for 2012.
